<br />280 slip marina and is one of the few remaining privately held marinas on the San <br />Francisco Bay. After growing up in South San Francisco, having served in WWII, in <br />1949 opened a working man's bar called Pete's Tonga Bar; in 1973 he opened the <br />Harbor House Restaurant, never owned a boat himself, was a pilot and rancher, <br />owned a ranch in Nevada raising beefalo and participated in numerous local causes. <br />He established the Sequoia Awards and an annual $2,500.00 award for the Cow <br />Palace rodeo. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paula, son Richard and <br />daughters Sharon and Patricia; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Patricia S.
