D. Final Report - Redwood City Water Use Forecast 2000 to 2020; (304) <br /> <br /> Public Works Services Director Ingram stated the purpose of the report is to <br /> provide a base of information that is both tested in terms of methodology and <br /> reliable in terms of forecasting so Council has a solid base of information to make <br /> future decisions. He stated that the report fitting into the bigger picture involves <br /> acceptance of the report and having staff incorporate the forecasts into the various <br /> documents that guide planning and policy making in the City. He continued to <br /> demonstrate his points utilizing a PowerPoint presentation. <br /> <br /> M/S Hartnett/Pierce to review and accept the Final Report - Redwood City Water <br /> Use Forecast 2000 to 2020 prepared by consultant John Whitcomb, PhD; and to <br /> set July 15, 2002 as the date of the Public Hearing for the purpose of adopting a <br /> resolution amending the Redwood City Urban Water Management Plan; <br /> <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 02-182 <br /> <br />0. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS- <br /> <br /> A. Recycled Water Project - information only; <br /> <br /> Public Works Services Director Ingram gave an update on the recycled water <br /> project for private and public landscaping and industrial use. He stated that the <br /> staff and consultant team has refined the various alternatives to what is called the <br /> greater Bayfront area as well as the central Redwood City area. Eight different <br /> alternatives have been studied for configurations of projects to deliver different <br /> levels of water. Mr. Ingram explained four examples that exhibit various levels of <br /> range of offset demand on regional supplies that this project could provide to deal <br /> with the shortage forecast. <br /> <br /> No action required. <br /> <br />10.
