Council Member Pierce stated that Redwood City was recently host to the <br /> National Academy of Sciences and data was presented regarding youth development. <br /> Some findings were made and discussed with local community groups, both providers <br /> of programs and policy people, the National Academy of Sciences and the <br /> Department of Medicine. The topics have important ramifications for programs that <br /> Redwood City will consider. Ms. Pierce emphasized the importance of partners and <br /> Redwood City 2020 being present for this event. <br /> <br /> 13. CLOSED SESSION - No action to report. <br /> <br /> '14. ADJOURNMENT - 7:48 p.m. <br /> <br /> M/S Jordan/Hartnett to adjourn until the regular Council meeting of July 15, 2002 in <br /> memory of Angela Ferrante Territo, resident of Redwood City for 48 years, died at the <br /> age of 88. Ms. Territo was the mother of Paula Uccelli and Marilyn Territo and her <br /> extended family will miss her spirit and generosity. She will be missed by members of <br /> the Native Daughters of the Golden West. (206) <br /> <br /> Adjournment in memory of Ivan Allain, legendary football coach of Sequoia High <br /> School, died at the age of 74. His teaching career began at Sequoia High in 1957 and <br /> he took the head coaching position in 1970 until 1986. Mr. Allain was also known for <br /> his generosity and good will.
