Declaration of Surplus Equipment for a 1988 Scott Test Bench Council Member Foust stated that this is a clear example of how the City operates and how it runs an effective organization. She gave the background that this equipment was no longer useful to the Fire Department and might typically be put out to auction whereby a fraction of the actual cost would have been realized. Instead, the Fire Department negotiated a deal with their supplier and was able to trade for 14 new SCBA voice amplifiers that increase the ability for Fire personnel to communicate with each other in an emergency with no cost to the City. She thanked Chief Kohlmann and Fire Captain Franchi for thinking outside the box. Recommendation: The City Council pass a resolution declaring one (1) 1988 Scott test bench surplus and convey same to S&S Supplies and Solutions Co.
