EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES <br />CSG Consultants, Inc. ("CONSULTANT") will provide a CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR <br />to work with the City of Redwood City's ("CITY") City Engineer or his or her designated <br />representative, to perform construction inspection services for capital improvement <br />projects and encroachment permits. CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR working with and <br />at the direction of CITY shall: work with multiple capital improvement project <br />construction management teams, and receive direction and daily oversight from a <br />project's project engineer and/or project manager based on individual project needs; <br />manage time effectively across multiple capital improvement projects as directed; <br />correspond with capital improvement project contractors; work with encroachment <br />permit engineers for a variety of utility and other encroachment permits within the public <br />right of way; correspond with encroachment permittees and contractors; perform <br />construction inspection duties for compliance with capital improvement project and <br />permit plans, specifications, and City's Engineering Standards; write daily reports for <br />capital improvement project and encroachment permit inspections; and travel between <br />various capital improvement project and encroachment permit sites to conduct <br />inspections. <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION (TASK 11 <br />1.1 The performance of all services by CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR shall <br />be to the satisfaction of CITY. <br />1.2 CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR shall coordinate inspection services with <br />the assigned project engineer and/or project manager for capital <br />improvement projects, or the permit engineer for encroachment permits, <br />as necessary. <br />1.3 CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR shall schedule daily inspections and visit <br />capital improvement project or encroachment permit sites as necessary to <br />complete all services to the satisfaction of CITY. <br />1.4 CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR shall communicate frequently with CITY <br />personnel regarding needs to inspection services and capital improvement <br />project or encroachment permit activities. <br />1.5 CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR shall, daily, write construction inspection <br />reports describing the type of work performed, locations of work, <br />inspection results, number of employees and types of equipment present, <br />and other information as directed by CITY, such reports being either in <br />software Traklt or on paper as needed. <br />REV: 02-12-18 PR <br />Page 9 of 11 <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.033/CSG - Eng Construction Inspection <br />
