7.A - Page 6 <br />Redwood Shores Levee/Lagoon <br />The engineering report for the Redwood Shores Lagoon Management Program, which <br />studies the existing hydraulic performance and maintenance of the lagoon, is complete. <br />City staff will review the recommended management measures and work with the <br />consultants to develop a prioritized lagoon management program. <br />Sewer <br />Annual replacement of the sewer collection system continues, with construction of the FY <br />2016-17 replacement project anticipated to finish in spring. The construction bid for the <br />FY 2017-18 replacement project will also be released this spring. Four sewer pump <br />stations are in various phases of rehabilitation, and the Redwood Shores sewer basin is <br />being closed circuit televised as scheduled. <br />Stormwater <br />On October 2, 2017, the Council authorized execution of a memorandum of <br />understanding with the City of Menlo Park, County of San Mateo, and Town of Atherton <br />for collaborative watershed evaluation and design improvements to reduce flooding on <br />the Bayfront Canal and Atherton Channel. The project is currently undergoing watershed <br />planning and design, and construction is expected to occur in spring of 2019 once <br />regulatory permits are obtained. <br />Technology <br />A major focus for staff has been the replacement of the citywide finance and human <br />resource management system. Since August, the Financial System Replacement Team <br />has been working with NexLevel Consulting Services to identify City and staff needs for <br />a new system through a series of discovery meetings. The RFP for a new system is <br />anticipated for release in March. <br />Information Technology (IT) Division staff continue to support City technology initiatives <br />including replacement of two network firewalls, the computer refresh program, <br />replacement of outdated networking equipment, and increasing data access speeds from <br />City data storage devices. The IT Division also is working on implementing the new <br />agenda and contract management system. <br />Transportation <br />Resurfacing of Marine Parkway in Redwood Shores was completed in October 2017 and <br />accepted on January 8, 2018.
