Complete review of 200 or more proposed affordable housing units <br />• During the joint study session on 10/24/16, the Council agreed <br />that existing mediation services be utilized when possible <br />related to tenant/landlord issues. <br />• During the joint study session on 10/24/16, the Council directed <br />the HHCC to conduct additional research on a minimum lease <br />term policy for their consideration. Through the assistance of a <br />consultant, the HHCC explored and discussed various <br />components of a policy and returned with their <br />recommendation to City Council on 6/26/17. Council accepted <br />the recommendation and directed staff to draft a Minimum <br />Lease Term ordinance. The draft ordinance is currently under <br />review by the City Attorney and scheduled to go to Council on <br />March 26. <br />• Council approved $1,099,000 of Affordable Housing Funds <br />(generated from the Housing Impact Fee) to HIP Housing <br />Development Corporation for the acquisition of an existing 7 - <br />unit apartment building with one commercial space to preserve <br />long-term affordability. <br />• Council approved $1,100,000 of Affordable Housing Funds <br />(generated from the Housing Impact Fee) to MiclPen Housing <br />Corporation for the acquisition of an existing 55 -unit apartment <br />building to preserve long-term affordability. <br />• City Council will consider inclusionary housing regulations on <br />May 7. <br />The City reviewed 358 units of proposed affordable housing including <br />the following: <br />D <br />1409 EI Camino 35 Units <br />Real v <br />cn <br />CD _ <br />W <br />Q0 <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND GOALS 13 1 P a g e <br />
