TRANSPORTATION <br />Develop and support effective transportation infrastructure: systems and programs that enable safe and <br />efficient travel to, from and within the community. <br />GOALS UPDATE <br />Complete the Citywide Transportation Plan and use recommendations to <br />guide funding decisions in the annual and five -Year Capital Improvement <br />Program <br />Complete permitting for the U.S. Highway 101 Pedestrian Undercrossing <br />Design and identify funding for the Highway 101/84 Interchange <br />Reconstruction Project <br />Complete the EI Camino Real Corridor Plan <br />Begin planning for the Blomquist Bridge extension over Redwood Creek <br />City staff presented a draft Citywide Transportation Plan to the City <br />Council for adoption on February 12. This follows an extensive <br />community engagement process including workshops, pop-up events, <br />online surveys, and more. <br />Permitting is complete and utilities are beginning their relocations. <br />Staff is working on agreements for the right-of-way. City staff provided <br />a funding plan to the City Council in the fall and winter of 2017. <br />On December 4, 2017, the City Council adopted the EI Camino Real <br />Corridor Plan. Implementation will begin this year and continue into <br />FY 2018-19. <br />This project is in the planning process. <br />Make significant pedestrian and bicycle improvements Downtown, including This project is in the planning stages. <br />the permanent closure of Theatre Way to automobile traffic <br />Complete the Street Car and Transit Center Study <br />Plan and design the Hopkins Avenue Neighborhood Traffic Calming Project <br />Work with neighborhoods on expanding the Neighborhood Permit Parking <br />Program <br />Begin work on Whipple Grade Crossing improvements <br />Construct Middlefield/Woodside Road pedestrian enhancements <br />This is in progress. <br />City staff presented a final option to the Hopkins Avenue <br />neighborhood. Final survey results will be available in January. <br />City staff expanded the Neighborhood Permit Parking program to the <br />Stambaugh Heller neighborhood.
