(701) MINUTE ORDER 05 -218 <br />E. Parking Advisory Committee <br />City Manager Everett explained that while working with the parking facilities <br />agreement it became apparent that it is time to pull together the parking advisory <br />committee. At the same time, the developer expressed the same desire. The <br />committee will consider and advise on the downtown parking standards; <br />standards, criteria and findings needed for allowing variances and other <br />exceptions; and other issues as determined by the City. The agreement identifies <br />representation from various groups. <br />Mayor Ira stated that he is prepared to make appointments as long as Council <br />agrees. <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Bain /Pierce to grant the Mayor the authority to appoint the Parking Advisory <br />Committee. The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. (209) <br />MINUTE ORDER 05 -217 <br />F. Council Member Howard — stated that there was a successful clean -up effort in <br />conjunction with the Pride & Beautification Committee and neighborhood <br />associations on Saturday, October 22 of several neighborhoods. She thanked City <br />staff for working with the committee and the co- chairs, SMC Credit Union, Norcal <br />Waste Systems and BFI. She stated that neighborhoods may call 780 -7308 to <br />coordinate a clean -up date and that the committee meets the first Wednesday of <br />the month at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall, Conference Room 2B at which the public is <br />welcome. <br />G. Council Member Foust — thanked the community members present at the <br />Council meeting and at home for taking the time to participate in the meeting. <br />H. Council Member Bain — stated that he and Council Member Aguirre and Mayor <br />Ira 's families attended the Woodside Plaza neighborhood sponsored outdoor <br />movie on Saturday evening. He stated that it was a great time and another <br />example of community building. Council Member Aguirre, stated that most <br />importantly, it was funded by a City grant.
