<br />DES:djk 0 '09/90 (069/26) <br /> <br />.~;;~., ~ C: i f\Jf,l <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />JUL 2 3 199U <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR OVERHAUL AND REPAIR OF AERIAL <br />TREE TRUCK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Redwood City Code <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2.76 <br /> <br />this Council has <br /> <br />suspended by motion the <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII ("Purchasing") of Chapter 2 of said <br /> <br />Code relating to bidding requirements for purchases of supplies <br /> <br />and materials with respect to the provision of repairs and <br /> <br />materials for an aerial tree truck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a proposal has been received from Hy-Tec Hydraulic <br /> <br />Truck Equipment Company for said overhaul and repair and this <br /> <br />Council desires to award a contract for the purchase of said work <br /> <br />and materials to said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby confirms that, pursuant to the <br /> <br />provisions of Redwood City Code Section 2.76 the bidding <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII (Purchasing) of Chapter 2 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City have been suspended with respect to <br /> <br />the hereinafter described purchase on the ground that the <br /> <br />materials, equipment or supplies to be purchased are of a unique <br /> <br />nature and available from a single source only and are necessary <br /> <br />to supplement or acquire parts for previously purchased <br /> <br />equipment. <br />
