Fire Hydrants - The number and location of Fire Hydrants based on the required <br />fire flow for this project shall be determined utilizing Appendix B and C of the <br />CFC. <br />59. Automatic Fire Sprinklers / Standpipe Systems -The proposed building is <br />required to be equipped with an automatic fire sprinkler system and a standpipe <br />system with connections in stairwells and the roof meeting NFPA Standard 13. <br />Provide plans and hydraulic calculations for the design of the systems. <br />60. Fire Department Connections -FDC's to the fire sprinkler/ stand pipe systems <br />shall be located at the fire access side of the buildings within 50 feet of a Fire <br />Hydrant. <br />61. Fire Alarm System Required -UL Central Station fully add ressable fire alarm <br />system is required meeting NFPA 72. Provide plan s and voltage drop calculations <br />for the design of these systems. <br />62. Premises Identification (Address Numbers) - Indicate on the plans where the <br />premises identification (address) will be located and the size (minimum 1 2") in a <br />contrasting background facing the street from which the building takes the address <br />CFC 505. <br />63. Portable Fire Extinguishers Required - Portable fire extinguishers, with a <br />minimum classification of 2A: I OBC are required to be permanently installed in all <br />buildings in the common areas within 50 feet of travel from all portions of the <br />building in compliance with NFPA 10 and CFC 906. <br />64. Fire Apparatus Access: <br />a. As the proposed structure exceeds 30 feet in height, at <br />least two means of fire apparatus access shall be provided CFC D 104.1. <br />b. As the proposed structure exceeds 62,000 square feet in <br />area, two separate and approved fire apparatus access roads are required <br />CFC D 104.2. <br />C. The width of the required fire apparatus access roads <br />shall be a minimum of 26 feet to accommodate aerial apparatus D 105.2. <br />And have an unobstructed vertical clearance of not less than 13 feet 6 <br />inches 503.2.1. The plans indicate trees and landscaping encroaching on <br />the fire access lane.
