<br /> 2 <br />6. Public Hearing – There was no public hearing. <br /> <br />7. Continuing Items <br /> <br />7.a. Draft Work Plan Review <br /> <br />Chair Miller gave a brief introduction to this topic. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Turner presented a draft of the work plan for the HHCC’s review. He <br />explained how this work plan came to be and how it incorporated work that the HHCC did at <br />their retreat. He explained how they used the Menlo Park template to create the draft work <br />plan document. He asked the committee to review the document and send any comments to <br />Staff Members Chin and Coffman. He stated they will work to incorporate those comments <br />into the plan and then move it forward for review by the City Clerk and presentation to City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht expressed a concern that the work plan is rather ambitious, so she wants to <br />ensure they are being mindful about what they can realistically achieve. She stated she <br />would like to revisit the recommendations for policies and practices for childcare under the <br />Basic Human Needs section. She said she feels some of the work duplicates Redwood City <br />2020 work and she would like the committee to work in prioritizing. <br /> <br />Staff Member Chin addressed Vice Chair Recht’s concerns and recommended the committee <br />revisit the draft work plan and prioritize the focus. <br /> <br />Chair Miller thanked Staff for putting together the work plan so quickly and found it easy to <br />use and understand. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Turner explained a process for how they will prioritize goals once the work <br />plan moves forward. <br /> <br />7.b. Creative Housing Solutions <br /> <br />Chair Miller gave a brief introduction to this topic. <br /> <br />Staff Member Coffman explained that this is a standing topic on the agenda to give the <br />committee the opportunity to bring up any items they want to discuss as they relate to <br />creative housing solutions. She stated if there are no new discussion items, they can move <br />on to the next agenda item. <br /> <br />Staff member Chin shared that she was learning about a Safe Parking ordinance that East <br />Palo Alto. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht provided an update on actions recently taken in Palo Alto related to parking <br />and homeless. <br /> <br />8. New Items <br />8.a. Agency Presentation Regarding Proposals for Funding for HSFA for FY 2017/2018 <br />
