All Collection operations shall be conducted as quietly as possible and shall 2428 <br />conform to applicable federal, State, County, and Agency noise level regulations. 2429 <br />Contractor shall promptly resolve any Complaints of noise to the satisfaction of the 2430 <br />Agency. 2431 <br />K. Route Books and Route Maps. For each Collection route, Contractor shall maintain 2432 <br />a route book and route map that documents each Customer on the route, their service 2433 <br />address, service level, and the order in which Customers shall be serviced (e.g., the 2434 <br />order in which routes shall be driven). Contractor shall distribute new route books 2435 <br />and route maps to its Collection vehicle drivers as frequently as necessary; and each 2436 <br />driver shall note differences in the service levels shown in the route book, adding and 2437 <br />subtracting Customers and service levels, as necessary. Route supervisors shall 2438 <br />periodically check the routes to ensure that drivers are providing service in 2439 <br />accordance with their route books. Contractor shall provide Agency with route books 2440 <br />and maps including assessor parcel data when available within ten (10) Business 2441 <br />Days of request. 2442 <br />L. Change in Collection Schedule. Contractor shall notify Agency a minimum of sixty 2443 <br />(60) Business Days prior to a change in the Residential Collection schedule or two 2444 <br />(2) weeks for minor adjustments (defined as less than the average size of a single 2445 <br />route per the Collection service metrics delineated in the prior year’s Compensation 2446 <br />Application), and shall request approval of Contractor’s notice to Residential 2447 <br />Customers thirty (30) Business Days prior to a change in Service Day, unless this 2448 <br />requirement is waived in writing by Agency. Contractor shall notify Owners and 2449 <br />Occupants of Residential Premises not later than ten (10) Business Days prior to any 2450 <br />change in Residential Collection operations which results in a change in the day on 2451 <br />which Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials Collection 2452 <br />occurs. Contractor shall not permit any Customer to go more than five (5) Business 2453 <br />Days without service in connection with a Collection schedule change. 2454 <br />8.03 UNLOADING MATERIALS AT THE DESIGNATED TRANSFER AND PROCESSING 2455 <br />FACILITY 2456 <br />Contractor shall be required to unload at the Designated Transfer and Processing Facility 2457 <br />all materials from its Collection vehicles by its own personnel. Contractor shall be required 2458 <br />to ensure that unloaded materials are properly placed in the designated areas and 2459 <br />containers as directed by Operator and SBWMA. For example, Contractor shall be 2460 <br />required to deposit at the Designated Transfer and Processing Facility Batteries and Cell 2461 <br />Phones, Used Motor Oil, and Used Motor Oil Filters in the containers provided by Operator 2462 <br />and designated for storage of these materials. Contractor shall cooperate with Operator 2463 <br />to ensure its Collection vehicles unload Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, 2464 <br />Organic Materials, and other materials (e.g., Batteries, Cell Phones, Used Motor Oil, and 2465 <br />Used Motor Oil Filters) Collected by Contractor in the locations designated by Operator 2466 <br />and SBWMA. 2467 <br />8.04 VEHICLES 2468 <br />A. General. Contractor shall provide a fleet of Collection vehicles sufficient in number 2469 <br />and capacity to efficiently perform the work required by the Agreement in strict 2470 <br />accordance with its terms. Contractor shall have available sufficient back-up vehicles 2471 <br />for each type of Collection vehicle used (e.g., side loader, front loader, and roll-off 2472 <br />vehicles) to respond to mechanical breakdowns, Complaints, and emergencies. 2473 <br />6.2.B. - Page 73
