Contractor shall provide the information sheet, training agenda, and 2791 <br />associated documentation within five (5) Business Days of request from Agency. 2792 <br />H. Safety Training. Contractor shall provide suitable operational and safety training for 2793 <br />all of its employees who operate Collection vehicles or equipment or who are 2794 <br />otherwise directly involved in such Collection. Contractor shall train its employees 2795 <br />involved in Collection to identify, and not to Collect, Hazardous Waste, or Infectious 2796 <br />Waste. Upon the Agency’s request, Contractor shall provide a copy of its safety policy 2797 <br />and safety training program, the name of its safety officer, and the frequency of its 2798 <br />trainings. 2799 <br />I. No Gratuities. Contractor shall not permit its employees to demand or solicit, directly 2800 <br />or indirectly, any additional compensation or gratuity from members of the public for 2801 <br />Collection services or accept gratuities or compensation in exchange for additional 2802 <br />Collection services. 2803 <br />J. Employee Conduct and Courtesy. Contractor shall employ only competent and 2804 <br />qualified personnel who serve the public in a courteous, helpful, and impartial 2805 <br />manner. Contractor shall use its best efforts to assure that all employees present a 2806 <br />neat appearance and conduct themselves in a courteous manner. Contractor shall 2807 <br />regularly train its employees in Customer courtesy, shall prohibit the use of loud or 2808 <br />profane language, and shall instruct Collection employees to perform the work as 2809 <br />quietly as possible. If any employee is found not to be courteous or not to be 2810 <br />performing services in the manner required by this Agreement, Contractor shall take 2811 <br />all appropriate corrective measures. The Agency may require Contractor to reassign 2812 <br />an employee, if the employee has conducted himself or herself inconsistently with the 2813 <br />terms of this Agreement. 2814 <br /> Contractor shall adopt policies and procedures consistent with State and federal law 2815 <br />that ensure a sober and drug-free workplace. This includes strictly prohibiting 2816 <br />unlawful manufacture, distribution, possession, or use of any controlled substance in 2817 <br />the workplace, regardless of whether the employee is on duty at the time. Further, 2818 <br />the policies and procedures shall prohibit an employee from operating either Agency 2819 <br />or Contractor equipment and vehicles (whether on or off duty) while under the 2820 <br />influence of alcohol or drugs. The purpose of these policies and procedures is to 2821 <br />ensure workplace safety, productivity, efficiency, and the quality of Contractor’s 2822 <br />service to Customers. 2823 <br />K. Uniforms. While performing services under this Agreement, all Contractor’s 2824 <br />employees performing field service shall be dressed in clean uniforms and shall wear 2825 <br />visible identification that include the employee’s name and/or employee number, and 2826 <br />Contractor’s name. Uniform type, style, colors, and any modifications may be subject 2827 <br />to approval by the Agency. 2828 <br />8.07 HAZARDOUS WASTE INSPECTION AND HANDLING 2829 <br />A. Inspection Program and Training. Contractor is required to inspect Solid Waste, 2830 <br />Targeted Recyclable Materials, Organic Materials, and other materials put out for 2831 <br />Collection and may reject Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, Organic 2832 <br />Materials, and other materials observed to be contaminated with Hazardous Waste 2833 <br />and not Collect Hazardous Waste put out with Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable 2834 <br />Materials, and Organic Materials. Contractor shall develop a load inspection program 2835 <br />that includes the following components: (i) personnel and training; (ii) load checking 2836 <br />6.2.B. - Page 81
