<br />Grand Jury never called on any of the Council Members during their proceedings, <br />even though they were aware the subcommittee had been formed. She <br />expressed that the Council had learned from the past, and that the <br />recommendations coming forward this evening were a result. Public <br />Communications Manager Malcolm Smith presented a clarification to the <br />language in the Staff Report's Guiding Principle #3-b, which was to designate the <br />Mayor of Redwood City as the primary point of contact for any concerns or <br />complaints regarding compliance with the "Guiding Principles for Property <br />Acquistion." <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />MIS PiercelBain to: <br /> <br />1. Accept the "Guiding Principles for Property Acquisition" prepared by the Ad <br />Hoc Committee on Redevelopment, and direct the City Manager to implement <br />the distribution of these guidelines to pertinent staff and provide for <br />appropriate direction in the use of these guidelines. <br />2. Designate the Mayor as the authority to whom citizens may bring concerns or <br />complaints regarding compliance with the "Guiding Principles for Property <br />Acquisition. " MINUTE ORDER 05-232 <br /> <br />9. MA TIERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 41-2005, 42-2005, and 43-2005. Council may direct <br />staff to act on positions taken by Council.
