Adopt a resolution declaring Canvass of Returns and Results of Special and <br />General Municipal Election <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 14676 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL AND <br />GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2005 <br />DECLARING THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED <br />BY LAW <br /> <br />2. Direct the City Clerk to submit the amended ratified sections of the City <br />Charter to the Secretary of State and file a copy with the County Recorder, <br />pursuant to Government Code 34459, 34460 and Elections Code Section <br />9269 <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by those present. <br />MINUTE ORDER 05-233 <br /> <br />8. INSTALLATION OF NEWLY ELECTED CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS, CONDUCTED <br />BY CITY CLERK <br /> <br />A. Administration of Oath of Office, and presentation of Certificates of Election to <br />newly elected Council Members; <br /> <br />Council Members Aguirre, Hartnett, Howard and Ira were administered the Oath of <br />Office and Certificate of Election. <br /> <br />B. Comments from newly installed Council Members <br /> <br />Council Member Hartnett expressed thanks to those involved in his campaign and <br />who voted for him stating that the trust and confidence placed in him is not taken <br />lightly. He thanked the role models in his family that have served the City of <br />Redwood City. He stated his pride in serving with the other 6 members of the <br />Council who are great colleagues and public servants.
