Staff propose to make this a flat fee. <br />New addresses Staff propose to revise the current tiers from two tiers <br />to three to better recover costs related to level of <br />effort. <br />Small Planned Community <br />Permits <br />The current fee is a one-size-fits-all category for <br />Planned Community Permits. Staff recommends <br />another tier reflecting a lesser level of effort for <br />smaller applications. <br />Tiered building permits for ADUs The permit varies in amount according to construction <br />valuation. Staff propose tiered flat fees based on <br />square footage. <br />Photovoltaic solar system fees New fees to comply with Government Code 66015. <br />Recent state legislation reduced the maximum <br />amounts that could be charged for commercial and <br />residential solar systems <br />Use Permit for Commercial <br />Child Care Centers <br />This would be a new category of Use Permit as none <br />currently exists for Commercial Child Care Centers. <br />Currently, small family child care centers are <br />permitted by right. In May 2017, City Council adopted <br />a resolution to waive fees for large family child care <br />centers.
