<br /> <br /> <br />COLLECTION SYSTEM REPLACE. PROG. (75133) <br />SEWER <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The City systematically replaces and/or rehabilitates sections of aging <br />sewer infrastructure to ensure the continued reliability of the <br />system. The Sanitary Sewer Master Plan identifies sewer trunk mains <br />that need to be increased in size to improve the capacity and <br />reliability of the sewer collection system. Also, staff identifies <br />pipelines that required excessive maintenance or experienced <br />repeated service disruptions to identify pipelines for improvement. <br />LOCATION DESCRIPTION: <br />Citywide <br />PROJECT BENEFITS <br /> Improves the condition and reliability of the sewer collection system by minimizing infiltration and inflow. <br /> Upsizes sanitary sewer mains to increase capacity to the sewer collection system. <br />PROJECT STATUS <br />The "2016‐2017 Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Replacement Project", which covers areas in Basins 6 and 7 and Trident Ave <br />in Redwood Shores, has been awarded to Casey Construction and to date, construction is 50% complete. Construction is <br />expected to be completed in Spring of 2018; the proposed "2017‐2018 Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project”, which will <br />cover Basins 5A and 5D, is currently in design in‐house and to date, is 80% complete.
