StreetSaver program, feedback from Public Works Services, maintenance history, <br />comments and complaints from the public, and engineer field surveys to evaluate <br />pavement conditions. The following roadways were selected based on an assessment <br />of the overall pavement condition to make the most efficient use of City resources: <br /> <br />• Chestnut Street, El Camino Real to Railroad <br />• Middlefield Road, Jefferson Avenue to Main Street <br />• Spring Street, Woodside Road to Douglas Street <br />• Warwick Street, Edgewood Road to City Limits <br /> <br />These projects would receive a complete pavement overlay. The projects would be put <br />out to bid in late 2018, and the Council would consider the award of contracts in the first <br />quarter of 2019. Work on these projects would begin shortly thereafter as weather <br />permits. <br /> <br />It is important to note that a State initiative proposes to eliminate SB 1 funding, which <br />would be significant set back in the City’s ability to fund important pavement repairs. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council could elect not to adopt the resolution. However, the City would be <br />unable to receive any funding through the RMRA for road maintenance and <br />rehabilitation. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The City is projected to receive approximately $1.4 million through the RMRA for FY <br />2018-2019. These funds would supplement the City’s current funding sources for road <br />maintenance and rehabilitation. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as <br />defined in CEQA Guidelines, section 15378 because the administrative activities will not <br />result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. <br /> <br /> <br />CHRISTOPHER DACUMOS <br />MANAGEMENT ANALYST II <br /> <br /> <br />6.3.A. - Page 2
