FISCAL IMPACT <br />If the resolution is adopted, the Various Transportation Grants Fund in the Fiscal Year <br />2017-2018 budget will be increased by $46,220.00, equal to the amount awarded to the <br />City by MTC. Remaining funds have been previously approved and appropriated. <br /> <br />The funding sources for the project will be from the following sources: <br />· Fiscal Year 2017-2018 – Various Transportation Grants Fund – Measure A (Safe <br />Routes to School), which has an available balance of $834,410.00 as of <br />February 28, 2018. <br /> <br />· Fiscal Year 2017-2018 – Various Transportation Grants Fund, to be appropriated <br />in the amount of $46,220.00 by adoption of the proposed Resolution. <br /> <br />· Fiscal Year 2017-2018 – Transportation Fund – Measure A-Safe Routes to <br />School, which has an available balance of $198,645.00 as of February 28, 2018. <br />This funding source will provide funds for the required local match as required by <br />the grant funding agreements. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the Redwood City <br />School District – Safe Routes to School Project meets the California Environmental <br />Quality Act (CEQA) exemption criteria as set forth in Section 15302 – (“Replacement or <br />Reconstruction”), as the replacement of existing sidewalk/asphalt concrete and <br />reconstruction of intersection corners are considered work with no expansion of <br />capacity in the same location).
