Remaining funds have been previously approved and appropriated.

The funding sources for the project will be from the following sources:
· Fiscal Year 2017-2018 – Various Transportation Grants Fund – Measure A (Safe
Routes to School), which has an available balance of $834,410.00 as of
February 28, 2018.

· Fiscal Year 2017-2018 – Various Transportation Grants Fund, to be appropriated
in the amount of $46,220.00 by adoption of the proposed Resolution.

· Fiscal Year 2017-2018 – Transportation Fund – Measure A-Safe Routes to
School, which has an available balance of $198,645.00 as of February 28, 2018.
This funding source will provide funds for the required local match as required by
the grant funding agreements.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the Redwood City
School District – Safe Routes to School Project meets the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) exemption criteria as set forth in Section 15302 – (“Replacement or
Reconstruction”), as the replacement of existing sidewalk/asphalt concrete and
reconstruction of intersection corners are considered work with no expansion of
capacity in the same location). A Notice of Exemption will be filed with the office of San
Mateo County after the City Council awards the project.

ALEX CHAN, P.E.
PROJECT ENGINEER

AARON AKNIN, A.C.I.P.
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
6.3.B. - Page 4
