F ;'\ i [1 ~ 1\ L <br />\,)i\iul i'~t\ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR COMPREHENSIVE STREET TREE <br />MAINTENANCE PROJECT FOR 1990-91; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br />SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11289 adopted by this <br /> <br />Council on May 21, 1990, the City Clerk advertised for bids for <br /> <br />the Redwood City Comprehensive Street Tree Maintenance proj ect <br /> <br />for 1990-91; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement for bids, one bid <br /> <br />was received and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Davey Tree Surgery Company, Livermore, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to Davey Tree Surgery <br /> <br />Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company, Livermore, <br /> <br />California, setting forth hourly rates stated in said bidder IS <br /> <br />proposal dated June 8, 1990, for the contract for Comprehensive <br /> <br />Street Tree Maintenance Project for 1990-91, is hereby accepted, <br /> <br />said hourly rates are hereby expressly accepted for purposes of <br /> <br />determining actual compensation under the contract, subject to <br /> <br />the maximum limitation of expenditures thereunder of Two Hundred <br /> <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($200,000.00), and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> <br />work. <br />
