The Project improvements included synthetic turf
replacement, grading to improve drainage, pads under the synthetic turf at Sandpiper
Park, and a root barrier at Marlin Park.

The initial Contract amount was $1,448,732.00, and the final cost of project for
completion was $1,448,569.73.

ANALYSIS
The Contractor, Sprinturf, LLC, has completed the construction of improvements in
accordance with the Agreement, the plans and specifications, and to the satisfaction of
the City’s Engineering & Transportation Division.

The Contractor provided a faithful performance bond and a labor and material bond,
each for $1,448,732.00 that can be released at this time. These bonds will be replaced
by a Guaranty, a warranty in the event any of the improvements fail within a one-year
period. Other guarantees have been provided for the actual products by the
manufacturers for varying warranty periods per the Contract documents.

ALTERNATIVES
The City Council may request additional information. Accepting the project and
authorizing the release of bonds and retention conform to the terms of the contract and
public contracting code.
6.2.A. - Page 1
