• Inspect the spacing and clearance of impellers, check impellers for <br />damage/wear, check oil/coolant and replace as necessary, inspect seals and 0 - <br />rings and replace as necessary. <br />• Visually check/confirm proper rotation before reinstallation of pump. <br />• Perform system performance checks including cleaning and checking level <br />sensors for correct operation and set points, checking any valves present for <br />proper operation, checking pump discharge leakage when pump is running, <br />and testing pump operational cycles (if possible). <br />• Perform repairs such as replacement and installation of O -rings and other <br />minor parts that are determined to need replacing during such inspection. The <br />cost of all such "minor parts" shall be included in the contract price and shall <br />not be an extra charge. These repairs do not include overhaul or shop repairs. <br />All "minor parts" shall be included and readily available on hand for service <br />technicians in the field. <br />Any work not specifically mentioned, but which is needed to make the maintenance <br />complete within the intent of this specification shall be performed without additional cost. <br />Pumps shall be systematically examined, adjusted, cleaned and repaired in accordance with <br />the specified inspection schedule. <br />If additional repairs are needed for pumps, Contractor will report its findings to the City, <br />and will seek guidance from the City on how to proceed (either repair or wait). <br />Extra Work, Including Unanticipated and/or Major Repairs: <br />Contractor shall provide any additional pump repairs, overhauls, or direct replacement of pumps <br />which are not included in the annual preventative maintenance. Prior to performing any such <br />additional repairs, or replacements, Contractor shall submit to City a detailed description of the <br />work determined to be necessary together with cost estimate for such work and parts and obtain <br />written approval from City prior to commencement of work. The parties shall both execute a <br />written change order to this Agreement, documenting City's approval and Contractor's price and <br />scope of work. <br />In addition, the City may need Contractor to provide and install new pumps. Contractor shall <br />submit to City, a detailed description of the work to be performed, along with a cost estimate for <br />such services. City must provide written approval prior to Contractor commencing any work. The <br />parties shall both execute a written change order to this Agreement, documenting City's approval <br />and Contractor's price and scope of work. <br />Miscellaneous Requirements: <br />• Contractor will be responsible for any damage caused by their operations and shall repair <br />or replace, as directed by the City, said damage within a reasonable time. <br />• City reserves the right to make inspections whenever necessary to ascertain that the <br />requirements of this Agreement are being fulfilled. Deficiencies noted shall be promptly <br />corrected at Contractor's expense. <br />• Since the determination of actual damages for any failure or delay in performance of this <br />Agreement would be extremely difficult or impractical to determine in the event of such <br />failure or delay, Contractor and its sureties agree that they shall be liable for and shall pay <br />REV: 04-05-18 MI <br />AM/AGR/2018.058/SHAPE, INC. <br />Page 11 of 14 <br />
