R 1 -the idea is good BUT lets fix the traffic congestion FIRST @Woodside road and 101!!Priorities
Priorities
+1 1 strongly oppose because the original proposal included "water access for kayaking, etc" but now
none?! Also there are tons of office/commercial space in the same area and it is mostly empty along
Seaport.
1 - tell these out of towners bye bye
1 -stop building and preserve open space. This area can be revitalized as a place for families to go to for
recreation. A few restaurants and shops, but leave it the way it is.
1 there will be too much traffic the roads can't handle the traffic. Need to work on infrastructure first.
Also would be better to build more housing rather than more office buildings.
2 adds to our current traffic nightmare
1. Strongly opposed. The sea level is rising. We should not be developing so close 2 the bay. Plus it's
already very congested there!
1 traffic is bad already
2. 1 support responsible development but rampant building will cause more congestion and overloading
of Redwood City's resources. The character of the town is changing from family friendly to tall buildings
darkening the streets.
1 traffic is not ready for that
1Harbor View was bought in an IR zoning, which allows for 50% office, not 100% office as submitted. The
property owner, Jay Paul Corp. knew this when he purchased the land. Thinking he could spot zone was
a risk HE took, not one the city should take. Work within the parameters that our zoning allows for, it's a
fairly simple concept.
1. What are the plans for the traffic on Woodside.
1. We need affordable housing, not more offices.
1 this would require people to be kicked out of their homes. So no for me.
