RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, NAMELY A PUBLIC ALLEY, IN AND UPON THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY HEREIN DESCRIBED; THAT THE ACQUISITION OF A RIGHT OF WAY AND EASEMENT IN PROPERTY HEREIN DESCRIBED IS NECES- SARY IN CONNECTION WITH SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT; AUTHOR- IZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING AN ACTION IN EMINENT DOMAIN TO ACQUIRE SAID REAL PROPERTY FOR SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT AND TO APPLY FOR AN ORDER OF IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF SAID REAL PROPERTY; AND, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEPOSIT MONEY IN COURT FOR IMMEDIATE POSSESSION OF SAID REAL PROPERTY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That it hereby finds and determines and declares: That the public interest and necessity require the acquisi- tion and construction by the City of Redwood City of a public improvement, namely, a public alley, in and upon that certain real property hereinafter described, to wit: A public alley 20 feet in width from Second Avenue to Annette Avenue, as shown on that certain map entitled "Tract No. 509, Friendly Acres Subdivision No. 2," filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County, California, in Book 21 of Maps, at pages 32 to 34, on January 18, 1937; That the acquisition by the City of Redwood City of a right of way and easement for storm drainage purposes in and upon that certain real property hereinafter described as Parcel No. 1 is necessary in connection with, and as a part of, said public improvement; That said public improvement is the use to which said real property is to be applied, and that said use is a public use authorized by law. That said public improvement is planned and located in the manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least private injury;
