<br />CES:sh 05/30/90 056/27 <br /> <br />O'.'!"""'^L <br />.; '.-1' i 'J ii' \. 1.\ <br />.:\ ~i 'Ul\ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11299 <br /> <br />JUN - 4 \99U <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE REPAIR OF THE <br />BAYFRONT CANAL FLAPGATES, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br />SECURITY PERTAINING THERETO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11270 adopted April 9, <br /> <br />1990, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Repair of the <br /> <br />Bayfront Canal Flapgates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, fifteen bids <br /> <br />were received and filed with the City Clerk for the Repair of the <br /> <br />Bayfront Canal Flapgates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Power Engineering, of Palo Alto, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for the Repair of the Bayfront Canal <br /> <br />Flapgates, and it is the desire and intention of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to Power Engineering, of Palo Alto, California; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Power Engineering, of Palo Alto, California, <br /> <br />in the amount of Forty-Eight Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars ($48,490.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />proposal for Repair of the Bayfront Canal Flapgates, dated May <br /> <br />15, 1990, and in accordance with the specifications therefor on <br /> <br />file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br />
