<br />7. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property <br />damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, <br />commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, or additional <br />insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or death to any <br />person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities <br />herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen <br />therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in connection <br />therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each person and $1,000,000 for each <br />occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage or injury to, or <br />destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the amount of <br />$500,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City <br />shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to <br />commencement of the event. <br /> <br />8. Damage to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the City for the <br />costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated <br />route, caused by or arising out of, the conducting of the "RUN BY THE <br />BA Y"permitted hereunder, or the acts, or omissions to act, of persons <br />participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in or upon public <br />property, including the public right of way in connection the "RUN BY THE <br />BA Y"with shall be removed immediately following said event. <br /> <br />9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and <br />applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said <br />event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to <br />all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the "RUN BY <br />THE BAY" or any associated activity. <br /> <br />10. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify <br />and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br />commissions, employees and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims <br />to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting <br />from or arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee <br />hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said race, or any activities <br />herein permitted. <br /> <br />11. Additional Matters. Additional or further matters not herein described or <br />contemplated in connection with the "RUN BY THE BAY" shall not be <br />effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of Police. <br />
