ALTERNATIVES
Council may choose not to approve the agreement with Associated Right of Way
Services Inc. and direct staff to modify the agreement or select another consultant.

FISCAL IMPACT
The agreement will be fully funded by the project’s Measure A – Highway Program grant
(264 83172 has a balance of $1,895,924 as of March 31, 2018).

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The City of Redwood City has determined that the execution of this Agreement is not a
project as defined in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it will not
result in either a direct or reasonably forseeable indirect physical change in the
environment, in that the services entail providing right of way acquisition support
services such as relocation assistance, negotiations and appraisal work. In addition, the
101/Woodside Road Interchange Project received CEQA clearance in December 2016.

PAUL KRUPKA
PROJECT MANAGER

AARON AKNIN
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER

ATTACHMENT:
1.
