AECOM, in coordination with
City staff, Caltrans, and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA), has
made substantial progress toward its first major milestone, 65% design. Activities
undertaken included field surveys and investigation, topographic mapping and controls
updates, location and verification of utilities, development of numerous technical studies
supporting roadway and structure design, and design detailing of all features. Three
Project Development Team (PDT) meetings, a geometric design focus meeting, and a
structure type selection meeting have been held at Caltrans.
