<br />'/I/'9U <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />CHILDCARE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR <br /> <br />DEFINITION <br /> <br />To assist the site director in the operation and direction of a city <br />administered childcare program, and to act as site director in the <br />director's absence. <br /> <br />DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS <br /> <br />This classification is distinguished from other recreational positions by <br />the specific duties and requirements of a teacher in a state licensed <br />childcare facility. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> <br />Direct supervision is received from the Childcare Director. <br />General supervision is received from the Recreation Center Supervisor. <br />Responsibilities may include the direct supervision of subordinate <br />childcare positions. <br /> <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to the <br />following: <br /> <br />Supervision of children. <br />Supervision of subordinate childcare positions. <br />Act as Childcare Director in his/her absence. <br />Develop and implement program activities. <br /> <br />Accept and document registration monies for childcare attendees. <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Knowledge of: <br />Childcare programming, principles and procedures. <br /> <br />Record keeping proceedures. <br />Principles of supervision. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT liB" <br /> <br />11290 <br /> <br />... ..... ,.. ~ 'U' <br />
