<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />Childcare Assistant Director (Continued) <br /> <br />Ability to: <br />Develop and implement childcare activities. <br />Supervise subordinates. <br />Supervise and discipline school-aged children. <br />Accept and process monies. <br />Interpret and apply department and city policies. <br />Communicate effectively, orally and in writting. <br />Physical Characteristics <br />Must be physically capable of performing the essential job functions of the <br />classification. <br /> <br />EXPERIENCE. AND EDUCATION <br /> <br />Must be 18 years of age and meet or exceed requirements, options as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Twelve units of post secondary semester units in Early Childhood Education, <br />Recreation, Physical Education or Teaching. <br /> <br />Six months work experience in a licensed daycare or comparable childcare <br />facility. <br /> <br />-OR- <br />Any equivalent combination of education and experience. <br /> <br />LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES <br /> <br />Possession of a valid California drivers' license, preferably Class B, and <br />a satisfactory driving record is preferred. <br /> <br />11290 <br />
