EXHIBIT "A" <br />Redwood Shores Library Pirate Ship Play Space Project <br />The Consultant and Landscape Architect of Records will supply landscape construction documents and <br />specifications for the project and provide stamped and sealed specifications and drawings by a registered <br />landscape architect in the State of California. Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc., a <br />subcontractor of Consultant who will perform services under this Agreement, will be the Landscape <br />Architect of Records. <br />Phase I. — Concept Design <br />The Consultant will work with the Client to develop an appropriate program for the landscaped spaces <br />associated with the Project. We will review client -provided site information, conditions, regulations, and <br />program as a basis for the Concept Design. Following site investigation, we will outline preliminary design <br />approaches. <br />The scope of work will include: <br />• Develop site program with assistance from the Client and the Design Team. <br />• Develop overall vision for the library grounds highlighting connections to AC Pathway, Library, <br />and Marine Parkway. <br />• Establish Aesthetic objectives and design criteria. <br />• Preliminary material selection. <br />• Preliminary plant selection. <br />• Presentation of concept design diagrams to client. <br />Deliverables will include the following: <br />A. Concept diagrams <br />B. Preliminary plant and material selections <br />Phase Schedule: 3 weeks <br />Meetings: 1 project presentation in Redwood City. <br />1 coordination meeting, remotely, via conference call. <br />Phase It. — Schematic Design: <br />Following the Concept Design phase, the Consultant will develop two schematic design options for Client <br />review and approval. Following Client review, this work will be revised into one preferred concept. Further <br />concept development will be billed at an additional cost. Consultant will also provide sufficient information <br />to assist in project cost estimating exercises. <br />The scope of work will include: <br />• Refine conceptual site program with assistance from the Client and the Design Team. <br />• Refine preliminary material selection. <br />• Refine preliminary plant selection. <br />• Sketch renders and views as necessary, 3 maximum. <br />• Prepare schematic design documents that convey design intent. <br />• One revision to schematic design based on Client's comments from presentation. <br />Following the definition of the program, schematic design drawings will be produced for the project for <br />client review and approval. The deliverables will include: <br />A. Landscape plan alternatives, 2 maximum <br />B. Preliminary plant and material selections <br />C. Sections as necessary <br />D.
