The areas where the borings will be required are locations where underground utilities may be <br />present, consequently, the services of a private locater will be secured and the help of the <br />Redwood City staff will be beneficial in locating and avoiding the utilities. <br />C. Environmental Soil Screening <br />Representative samples of the upper one to two feet of the on-site soils will be collected during <br />the drilling. The planned project site is estimated to be less than ten (10) acres, which requires <br />a minimum of eight (8) discrete soil samples to be collected and placed in sample containers, <br />stored in a cooler with cold packs and then delivered to a lab for testing. <br />Soils analysisforeach samplewill include: <br />TPH EPA 8260B— Gas, TEPH -Extractable — Diesel— Motor Oil with silica gel cleanup, VOC's-EPA <br />82606, Semi -volatiles - EPA 8270, Pesticides and PCB's - EPA 8081/8082, CAM 17 Metals, <br />Chromium VI EPA 7199, Arsenic and Lead STLC and Asbestos CARB 435A. <br />The test results generated by the laboratory will be forwarded to the Owner along with a formal <br />review of the soil screenings. <br />D. Arrangements / Exclusions <br />Removal of obstructions (including fencing) to allow access to boring locations by a truck <br />mounted drill rig is excluded from this scope. <br />Reasonable precautions shall be taken to minimize surface and subsurface damage however <br />through the normal course of work some rutting may occur, the correction of which is not <br />included in this scope. <br />E.
