SUB -RECIPIENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />AND REDWOOD CITY 2020, AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL <br />AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br />This Agreement is entered into this 13th day of March 20_jg_, by and <br />between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the state of California, <br />hereinafter called "County," and REDWOOD CITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of <br />eight partners, including Canada College, City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo <br />(Health System and Human Services Agency), John W. Gardner Center for Youth and <br />their Communities - Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, Redwood City Elementary <br />School District, Sequoia Healthcare District, and Sequoia Union High School District), <br />and CITY OF REDWOOD ("City") Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. <br />REDWOOD CITY 2020 is, hereinafter called "Contractor'; <br />WITNESSETH: <br />Whereas, pursuant to Section 31000 of the California Government Code, County may <br />contract with independent contractors for the furnishing of such services to or for <br />County or any Department thereof; and <br />Whereas, Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the <br />delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and <br />North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 <br />is made up of eight partners, including Canada College, City of Redwood City, County <br />of San Mateo (Health System and Human Services Agency), John W. Gardner Center <br />for Youth and their Communities - Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, Redwood <br />City Elementary School District, Sequoia Healthcare District, and Sequoia Union High <br />School District, to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated <br />approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living <br />within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable <br />resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children; and <br />Whereas, it is necessary and desirable that Contractor be retained for the purpose of <br />providing alcohol and other drug prevention and recovery services. <br />Whereas, the award of this Agreement is made pursuant to: <br />1.
