Redwood Shores Lagoon Dredging Project
Scope of Services - Moffatt & Nichol

complete and 95% complete stage. The Final Set will be stamped and signed for use by the
City in soliciting bids. We assume that the General Conditions and Provisions, and the actual
call for bids will be provided by City staff.

Deliverable: 65% Complete Design Drawings, Technical Specifications, Engineer's Estimate
95% Complete Design Drawings, Technical Specifications, Engineer's Estimate
Final Design Drawings, Technical Specifications, Engineer's Estimate

Phase 2 Schedule

It is difficult to identify a schedule at this time, not knowing the amount, type or location of
material to be dredged, especially since most of the design will be contingent upon the location
of the disposal site. Based on experience. permitting an upland disposal project assuming the
material is relatively clean can take between 6 and 12 months. This is also assuming that the
level of environmental documentation is a Negative Declaration. If there is objection to the
project, or the material is contaminated, this could be significantly longer.

The preparation of drawings and specifications for the dredging project is anticipated to take
about 12 weeks from start of Task 2.2 for the 65% complete package, about 8 weeks more for
the 95% complete package, and about 4 weeks more for the final package.

PHASE 3: CONSTRUCTION

Task 3.1 - Provide Bid Support & Technical Support During Construction

We will assist the City in responding to bidders' questions during the bid solicitation period,
assist in preparing addenda, if necessary, and participate in the pre-bid meeting.

During construction. M&N will assist the City by responding to Requests for Information (RFls)
from the contractor. and reviewing the contractor's Dredge Operation Plan and other
submittals that are required by USACE. We will also attend the pre-construction meeting, up
to 6 other construction meetings, and the final site walk-through meeting, and will assist with
reviewing the calculations of dredging volumes for final pay.

M&N also provides Construction Management as well as full Contract Administration services,
which can be negotiated with the City upon request.

7
