C. Ordinance Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance related to Stormwater Control; <br />Reducing Parking Requirements, and Establishing Creek Setback Requirements <br />Recommendation: <br />Introduce an Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance to implement <br />Stormwater Control programs, including but not limited to, reduction <br />of parking rates for multi - family and mixed use development in limited areas; <br />establishing creek setbacks along protected watercourses, and providing for <br />grandfathered facilities in the Industrial Districts. (602) <br />ORDINANCE 1130 -336 AMENDING ARTICLES 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11,12,13, 14, 15,16, <br />17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 29, 30, 32, 36, 43, 45 AND 46 OF THE REDWOOD <br />CITY ZONING CODE RELATED TO STORMWATER CONTROL, INCLUDING <br />PROVISIONS REDUCING PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR MULTI - FAMILY AND <br />MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT AND ESTABLISHING CREEK SETBACK <br />REQUIREMENTS (First reading on November 14, 2005) <br />6. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. Parks for the Future Presentation <br />PRCS Centeno stated that Council input, questions and concerns are being <br />sought on this topic. She explained the background on countywide efforts seeking <br />to secure stable and ongoing funding for park and recreation activities. <br />Julia Bott, Executive Director of the County Parks Foundation, explained that <br />Parks for the Future is an effort to secure dedicated tax base revenues for parks <br />and recreation in all the communities through a 1/8 cent sales tax. She explained <br />the process to date, the recommendations from the participants, possible <br />timelines and items that still need to be addressed. <br />Council Members expressed various questions and concerns on items such as <br />development of base budget language, cost of administration, creativity in use of <br />funds, and the need to create a community based campaign committee.
