05/21/2018 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1130-373 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADOPTING A ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ESTABLISHING <br />THE MIXED-USE WATERFRONT DISTRICT UNDER ARTICLE 57, AND <br />MAKING REVISIONS TO ARTICLES 2 (DEFINITIONS), 3 (DESIGNATION OF <br />DISTRICTS), AND 30 (OFF STREET PARKING AND LOADING) <br />WHEREAS, on October 11, 2010, the City Council of the City of Redwood City ("City <br />Council') adopted the new Redwood City General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the General Plan contemplated the establishment of a Mixed -Use <br />Waterfront Zoning District; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment is comprised of: (a) <br />establishment of Article 57 as the Mixed -Use Waterfront Zoning District, and (b) revisions to <br />Articles 2, 3, and 30; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 15059 adopted on October 11, 2010, <br />certified the General Plan Final Environmental Impact Report ("GP EIR"); and the City prepared <br />an addendum to the GP EIR to address the environmental impacts of the Zoning Ordinance <br />Amendment (the "Addendum"), which found that there are no new significant impacts <br />nor any increase in the severity of previously identified impacts, and that no change in <br />circumstance has occurred with respect to the GP EIR and the proposed Zoning Ordinance <br />Amendment or the environment affected by the project that would alter prior environmental <br />findings, conclusions, or mitigation measures, and <br />WHEREAS, on April 17, 2018, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public <br />hearing on the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment, and recommended the City Council <br />approve the Addendum and adopt the Mixed Use Waterfront Zoning District; and <br />WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment was mailed <br />to all properties within a 300 -foot radius of the area affected by the Zoning Ordinance <br />Amendment and duly published in the San Mateo Daily Journal 10 days prior to the public <br />hearing; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 7, 2018, the City Council held a public hearing on the Zoning <br />Ordinance Amendment and on said date the public hearing was opened, held and closed; and <br />WHEREAS, at the May 7, 2018 public hearing, the City Council approved the Addendum <br />by a separate resolution and considered the whole of the record. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWWOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby <br />incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />Section 2.
