<br />DES:djl- 06/07/96 <br /> <br />(002/47) <br /> <br />monthly installments of compensation for Basic Services at the <br /> <br />installment <br /> <br />rate <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />effect <br /> <br />at <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />time <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />giving <br /> <br />notice <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />termination. <br /> <br />(Said sum shall be in addition to Basic Services' <br /> <br />compensation <br /> <br />installments <br /> <br />payable <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />rendered dur ing <br /> <br />the three-month period prior to the commencement of said fourth <br /> <br />month) . <br /> <br />Also in such event, Attorney shall not be required to <br /> <br />furnish services to City for the fourth through sixth months of <br /> <br />the period prior to the effective date of termination, but shall <br /> <br />be deemed on leave of absence for said period. <br /> <br />In addition to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />foregoing <br /> <br />payment, <br /> <br />Attorney <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />paid <br /> <br />accrued <br /> <br />reimbursable <br /> <br />expenses <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />compensation <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />Special <br /> <br />Services <br /> <br />provided <br /> <br />prior <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />cessation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />services. <br /> <br />In <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />event <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />termination, <br /> <br />the parties <br /> <br />shall cooperate to achieve an orderly <br /> <br />transition <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />assumption <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />duties <br /> <br />by <br /> <br />any <br /> <br />succeeding <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />NOTICES. <br /> <br />Written notices required hereunder shall be <br /> <br />delivered personally, <br /> <br />or by depositing the <br /> <br />same with the U. S. <br /> <br />Mail Service, <br /> <br />first class <br /> <br />(or equivalent), postage prepaid, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />addressed in the case of City, to: <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />City Hall, P.O. Box 391 <br />Redwood City, CA 94064 <br /> <br />and, in the case of Attorney, to: <br /> <br />David E. Schricker, City Attorney <br />702 Marshall Street, Suite 314 <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br /> <br />or to such other address as the parties may from time to time <br /> <br />designate in writing. <br /> <br />15 <br />
