5.3 Section — Claims and Warrants <br />A. Approve warrants dated through December 19, 2005 and usual and necessary <br />payments through January 9, 2006 (303) MINUTE ORDER 05 -248 <br />5.4 Section — Ordinances — (First Reading /introduction) <br />A. Ordinance approving an amendment to Section 23.31 of the Municipal Code <br />allowing administrative appointment at any step within a range (for salary ranges <br />expressed in steps) or at any rate between the minimum of a salary range (for <br />salary ranges not expressed in steps). <br />Recommendation: <br />Introduce an ordinance approving an amendment to Section 23.31 of the <br />Municipal Code authorizing the City Manager to make appointments at any step <br />or rate within a salary range. <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 23, ARTICLE 111, SECTION 23.31 OF THE <br />REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO PERSONNEL SYSTEMS <br />(305) MINUTE ORDER 05 -249 <br />6. PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. Redwood City Urban Water Management Plan <br />Mayor Pierce stated that there had been public input and comment generated by <br />the Public Works Services Department conducting meetings with community <br />members and one idea of interest is carrying capacity and the amount of water <br />available for the community. She stated that while the water management plan <br />means there must be enough water for the future, it is not a determiner of how <br />Redwood City will develop. She stated that any of the figures used in the <br />presentation will depend upon the discussions that occur during the General Plan <br />and Precise Plan that is really a Planning issue.
