C. Mayor Pierce — stated that the Fair Oaks Library will be holding the Gran Posada
on Wednesday, December 21 from 4 -8 p.m. There will be a free family photo with
Santa and an annual candlelight procession will take place. There will be arts and
crafts, children's' story time, live music and a pinata.
D. Council Member Hartnett — spoke of the Stanford Hospital acquisition of the
@Home site that was brought up by speakers under Oral Communications. He
stated that the site was developed by Ampex in the 1950's and has been at least
since then an office park and anyone could move in there and continue with similar
use. He further stated that there should not be an expectation from the public that
the site will revert to an empty space and that there has been substantial
community discussion on the topic of Stanford Hospital at that site. Consideration
of some principles for hospital industry services in the community should be a topic
of discussion in the future. Council Member Ira stated that two items should be
placed on the City website, the EIR and the calendar of community meetings
related to this topic.
9. ADJOURNMENT — 9:20 p.m.
M/S to adjourn until the next City Council meeting of January 9, 2006. The motion
passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Respectfully submitted,
Patricia S.
