Saturday, November 19, 2005 to benefit the Redwood City Education Foundation and <br />urged citizens and Council to come to the event. <br />Council Member Aguirre remarked in relation to topic 6.1.1-1, how important the <br />Redwood City Family Centers were, noting especially the Kennedy Middle School, and <br />acknowledging that partnership between the City and the schools. <br />Vice Mayor Pierce noted that Redwood City 2020 results in the community maximizing <br />tax dollars to best effect to help our community. <br />Council Member Hartnett remarked on the success of Redwood City 2020, and <br />commented on Retired Pastor Dennis Logie's efforts as well as other volunteers that <br />helped get 2020 going back when it was known as Redwood City 2000. <br />M/S Foust/Bain to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by <br />title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />6.1 Section — Motions <br />A. Approve the Joint City Council and Redevelopment Agency meeting minutes of <br />October 24, 2005, as submitted; (301) MINUTE ORDER 05 -219 <br />B. Appointment of financial advisor, bond counsel, and disclosure counsel to <br />provide professional services in connection with the sale of bonds by the <br />Redwood City Public Financing Authority — Public Financing Authority Board <br />Recommendation: <br />In connection with the second sale of bonds to provide funding for the construction <br />of the Redwood City Recycled Water project, approve by motion the appointment <br />of: <br />• William Euphrat Municipal Finance, Inc. as financial advisor, <br />• Nossaman, Guthner, Knox & Elliott, as bond counsel, <br />• Jones Hall as disclosure counsel <br />And authorizing the Public Financing Authority's (PFA) Finance Director to enter <br />Into the professional service contracts for such services.
