<br />Proposal to Update the City of Redwood City Emergency Operations Plan <br /> <br />In an emergency, a City needs to have basic information for system personnel and external <br />parties such as law enforcement, emergency responders, repair contractors/vendors, the media, <br />and others. The information needs to be clearly formatted and readily accessible so staff can find <br />and distribute it quickly to those who may be involved in responding to the emergency. Basic <br />information will be presented in the EOP either as inserted documents and information, or <br />attached to the plan as appendices or referenced. Interviews will be required to collect some or <br />all of this information. This information includes but not limited to: <br /> <br />1. City Charter <br />2. Population served and service area <br />3. City Components (i.e., Organizational Chart) <br />4. Critical Infrastructure (may be classified under separate Annex) <br />5. Communication Protocols <br />6. City Emergency Response & Recovery Assets <br /> <br />Task 3b. Development ofChain-of-Commtlnd and Mutual Aid <br /> <br />This will be developed in coordination with Redwood City Fire Department and Internal <br />Emergency Responders. Interviews will be required to collect some or all ofthis information. <br />This information includes but not limited to: <br /> <br />1. Contact Name <br />2. Organization and Emergency Operations Responsibility <br />3. Telephone number(s) (hardwire, cell phones, faxes, e-mail) <br />4. State 24-hour Emergency Communications Center Telephone <br /> <br />Task 4 - Communication Procedures: Who, What, When <br /> <br />During most emergencies, it will be necessary to quickly notify a variety of parties both internal <br />and external to the City. We will develop a communications section in the plan to indicate who <br />activates the plan, the order in which notification occurs, and the members of the Emergency <br />Response Team, including Service/Mutual Aid, and Public/Media Notification. Interviews will <br />be required to collect some or all ofthis information. <br /> <br />Task 5 - EOP Template Information Build <br /> <br />This EOP will be updated and written according to the template provided by San Mateo OES. <br />Interviews will be required to collect some or all of this information.
