ORIGINAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020 AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 For the 2017-18 School Year This AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of the day of 2018 by and between Sequoia Union High School District ("SUHSDII),VEDWOOD CITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight partners, including City of Redwood, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and Canada College) and CITY OF REDWOOD ("City') Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively SUHSD, Redwood City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the "Parties." SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's partial funding of the Director position at SUHSD's Sequoia Teen Resource Center in the Amount Of Twenty Three Thousand Dollars ($23,000). RECITALS A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and Canada College to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services required by Redwood City 2020. C. Redwood City 2020 desires to provide Twenty Three Thousand Dollars ($23,000) to partially fund the Director position at SUHSD's Sequoia Teen Resource Center ("STRC"). NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: ARTICLE I — BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund the Director position at the STRC ("the Director") for the 2017-2018 school year in the amount of Twenty Three Thousand Dollars ($23,000). The STRC provides information and presentations to facilitate students in learning where and how to access resources at school and community; improving their academic performance, behavior and decision making; developing communication and leadership skills and practices to improve their physical, social, and emotional health. 1.
