ORIGINAL <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, REDWOOD CITY 2020 AND CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br />For the 2017-18 School Year <br />This AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of the day of <br />2018 by and between Sequoia Union High School District ("SUHSDII),VEDWOOD <br />CITY 2020 (a collaboration comprised of eight partners, including City of Redwood, Redwood City <br />Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo Health and <br />Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their <br />Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and Canada College) and CITY OF <br />REDWOOD ("City') Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively SUHSD, Redwood <br />City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the "Parties." <br />SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's partial funding of the Director position at SUHSD's Sequoia <br />Teen Resource Center in the Amount Of Twenty Three Thousand Dollars ($23,000). <br />RECITALS <br />A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of <br />services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an <br />unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, <br />including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High <br />School District, County of San Mateo Health and Human Services, Sequoia Healthcare District, John <br />W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and <br />Canada College to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to <br />strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of <br />the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be <br />successful primary caregivers to their children. <br />B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services <br />required by Redwood City 2020. <br />C. Redwood City 2020 desires to provide Twenty Three Thousand Dollars ($23,000) to <br />partially fund the Director position at SUHSD's Sequoia Teen Resource Center ("STRC"). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained <br />herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br />ARTICLE I — BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES <br />SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund the Director position at the STRC <br />("the Director") for the 2017-2018 school year in the amount of Twenty Three Thousand Dollars <br />($23,000). The STRC provides information and presentations to facilitate students in learning where <br />and how to access resources at school and community; improving their academic performance, <br />behavior and decision making; developing communication and leadership skills and practices to <br />improve their physical, social, and emotional health. <br />1. Term.
