CGM:yc:6/4/79 R <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION N0.R2.4.i JUN 41979 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />SPECIFIC AREAS (PICNIC/PLAY AREAS) FOR RED MORTON <br />COMMUNITY PARK; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; <br />AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8248, adopted March 12, <br />1979, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br />lighting for and of specific areas (picnic/play areas) for Red <br />Morton Community Park; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, PALO ALTO LANDSCAPING COMPANY, INC., Los Altos, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention <br />and desire of this Council to award said bid to said Palo Alto <br />Landscaping Company, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Palo Alto Landscaping Company, Inc., in the <br />total amount of Eighty-four Thousand Four Hundred Sixty-one and <br />No/100 Dollars ($84,461.00), for the base bid and Alternates 1, <br />2, 3 and 4, computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br />May 22, 1979, for the construction of specific areas (picnic/play <br />areas) for Red Morton Community Park, in accordance with those <br />certain plans and specifications approved for the performance of <br />said work, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />8293 <br />
