MSR:dp:3/27/79 R E S O L U T I O N N o.8259 ORIGINAL ---------- APR 21979 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF REDWOOD SHORES (PENINSULA) PARKWAY UNIT NO. 2 AND SHELL PARKWAY FENCING IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8235 adopted February 26, 1979, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of Redwood Shores (Peninsula) Parkway Unit No. 2 and Shell Parkway fencing in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, one bid was received for the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, Sierra Lumber Co., San Jose, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of said work and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid for such construction to Sierra Lumber Cc; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Sierra Lumber Co. in the total amount of Fifty-three Thousand One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($53,100.00) for the construction of Redwood Shores (Peninsula) Parkway Unit No. 2 and Shell Parkway fencing, in the City of Redwood City, in accordance with bidder's proposal dated March 19, 1979, according to those certain specifications entitled "Special Provisions for the Redwood Shores Parkway and Shell Parkway Fencing Unit No. 2 - Redwood City, California," and those certain plans entitled "Redwood Shores Parkway and Shell Parkway Fencing Unit No. 2," is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain agreement entitled "Agreement" by and between the City of Redwood City and Sierra Lumber Co., for the performance of said 8259
