6.3.C. - Page 23 <br />Notify businesses that sell alcoholic beverages in the downtown area of their <br />responsibility to comply with the conditions of their ABC permits. <br />Provide electrical connections from street lighting outlets on Theatre Way from 5:00 pm <br />July 3rd to 7:00 pm July 4th to support Festival operations and on Broadway from <br />Middlefield to Jefferson on July 4th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to support the Children's <br />entertainment stage and vendor booths. <br />We appreciate the cooperation and goodwill extended by the City of Redwood City to the <br />Peninsula Celebration Association. The mutual coordination of this annual event benefits the <br />entire Redwood City Community. The City is continuing to take the lead this year <br />with: obtaining major corporate sponsors to pay for a 20 minute high aerial show; providing onsite <br />entertainment for spectators prior to the show; providing public notification; and managing <br />security, police services, and any necessary permitting. <br />Fireworks Displav Details: <br />The display will be conducted by a licensed fireworks vendor and will be launched from the Port's <br />concrete Wharf #4. This is the same location that the City's Fire Marshal, Parks/Rec. Director, <br />Port Staff, Port Commission and the pyro-technician have agreed upon in the past. The Fire <br />Marshal concurs that the location is safe and has received the necessary permits and paperwork <br />from the pyro-technician. <br />Pyrospectaculars, Inc. (the licensed fireworks company) has received approval from the US <br />Coast Guard and the "Marine Events Permit" is attached for reference. With the approval from <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />
