1445 <br />1446 <br />1447 7.01 CUSTOMER BILLING <br />ARTICLE 7 <br />OTHER SERVICES <br />1448 A. Billing. Agency shall prepare and mail Bills for services provided to Customers by <br />1449 Contractor and shall collect Customer payments. <br />1450 1. Freouency. Agency shall Bill accounts classified by Agency as Residential bi- <br />1451 monthly in amounts equal to the Customer's subscribed Rate for all services <br />1452 provided in a two (2) month period in arrears. Agency shall Bill accounts <br />1453 classified by Agency as Commercial monthly in amounts equal to the <br />1454 Customer's subscribed Rate for all services provided in a one (1) month period <br />1455 in arrears. <br />1456 2. Bill Format. Agency shall have the right to revise the Billing format (e.g., size, <br />1457 font, frequency, etc.) and to itemize certain charges. <br />1458 3. Records. Agency shall maintain copies of Customer Billings and receipts, in <br />1459 chronological order, for a period of three (3) years after the date of service. <br />1460 Agency may, at its option, maintain those records in computer form, on <br />1461 microfiche, or in any other manner, provided that the records can be preserved <br />1462 and retrieved for inspection and verification in a timely manner. <br />1463 Contractor shall be allowed to access and review Agency's Billing systems on <br />1464 an appointment basis and such access shall not be unreasonably withheld by <br />1465 Agency. <br />1466 4. Rates. Agency shall establish, by resolution, Rates for the types of service <br />1467 provided as described in Section 11.07 or elsewhere in this Agreement. <br />1468 5. Service Stoos. Contractor shall allow Customers to suspend service and <br />1469 Billings when the Premises are unoccupied. Single -Family Residential <br />1470 Customers may suspend service for a minimum of one (1) Service Day on a <br />1471 maximum of three (3) occasions each Rate Year. Commercial Customers may <br />1472 suspend service for a minimum of two (2) Service Days on a maximum of six <br />1473 (6) occasions each Rate Year. Multi -Family Customers may not suspend <br />1474 service without prior written approval from Agency. The Billings for both <br />1475 Residential and Commercial Customers shall be prorated in accordance with <br />1476 Customer's requests to suspend service. In order to enable Agency to bill <br />1477 properly for service stops, Contractor shall employ best efforts to accommodate <br />1478 Agency's request to provide data regarding service stops on a daily basis. <br />1479 B. Delinquent Payment. Agency shall address the issue of delinquent payment as <br />1480 specified in Attachment H, which consists of City of Redwood City Resolution 14840 <br />1481 dated February 2008, pertaining to Delinquent Utility Service Charge Schedule for <br />1482 the City of Redwood City, or as the same is subsequently amended. <br />1483 C. Local Office. Contractor shall maintain a local office in the Shoreway <br />1484 Environmental Center, located at 225 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, California, for <br />1485 acceptance of in-person payment of bills, but only for those services for which <br />1486 Contractor is responsible for billing under this Agreement.
