1933 <br />reasonable good faith efforts to initiate recruitment of the position within thirty (30) <br />1934 <br />days. <br />1935 <br />If Contractor has one or more Waste Zero Specialist positions unfilled, as approved <br />1936 <br />in the Three -Year Recycling Technical Assistance Plan, for more than ninety (90) <br />1937 <br />Days, Contractor and SBWMA shall meet and confer regarding the reasons for the <br />1938 <br />difficulty in filling the position(s) and ways to remedy the employment gap. In <br />1939 <br />addition, Contractor shall reimburse Agency for the cost of each such unfilled <br />1940 <br />position for the period exceeding ninety (90) Days. The Contractor shall calculate <br />1941 <br />the cost reimbursement for the unfilled position(s) including the avoided cost of <br />1942 <br />wages, benefits, payroll taxes, and workers compensation insurance, for such <br />1943 <br />position and shall provide supporting documentation justifying its cost <br />1944 <br />reimbursement calculations. Such reimbursement shall be made as a deduction to <br />1945 <br />Contractors Compensation through the annual Contractor's Compensation <br />1946 <br />adjustment process described in Article 11 and Attachment K. <br />1947 <br />SBWMA reserves the right to request an increase or decreases in the number of <br />1948 <br />Waste Zero Specialists. Such a change shall be considered an Agency -directed <br />1949 <br />change in service and handled in accordance with provisions in Section 15.12. <br />1950 <br />B. Signs and Placards. Contractor shall be responsible for preparing, distributing, <br />1951 <br />and posting signs at Commercial Collection Premises that promote Targeted <br />1952 <br />Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials Collection services, describe the <br />1953 <br />program requirements, and identify allowable and prohibited types of materials for <br />1954 <br />Collection. At a minimum, the signs or placards shall be durable and weather <br />1955 <br />resistant, and affixed in the Container areas. Upon request from Customer, <br />1956 <br />Contractor shall provide signs and Container labeling in a second language such <br />1957 <br />as, but not limited to, Spanish. Within ten (10) Business Days of a Customer's <br />1958 <br />request, Contractor shall provide extra signs for use in areas such as employee <br />1959 <br />training areas, break rooms, kitchens, and janitorial areas at Commercial Premises. <br />1960 <br />The design of all signs and placards shall be approved by Agency or SBWMA prior <br />1961 <br />to distribution by Contractor. <br />1962 <br />C. Community Events. At the direction of the Agency or SBMWA, Contractor shall <br />1963 <br />participate in and promote diversion techniques at Community Events and local <br />1964 <br />activities. Participation includes providing educational and public outreach <br />1965 <br />information and promotional giveaways in an effort to promote the Agency's waste <br />1966 <br />reduction and recycling program goals. Each year the Community Events that <br />1967 <br />Contractor agrees to participate in shall be outlined in the Three -Year Public <br />1968 <br />Education Plan described in Section 7.03.B. Attachment C presents a preliminary <br />1969 <br />list of the Community Events, which may be modified annually through the <br />1970 <br />development of the Three -Year Public Education Plan, as described in Section <br />1971 <br />5.08. <br />1972 D. Notification to Commercial Customers. Immediately upon request from a new or <br />1973 current Customer for new or changes in service, Contractor shall notify Customer by <br />1974 phone or email of the Targeted Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials <br />1975 Collection services offered by Contractor. Such notification shall be made available <br />1976 in English and Spanish. <br />1977 E. Targeted Commercial Recycling Promotion.
