2026 H. Reporting. Contractor shall prepare and submit reports related to the Commercial <br />2027 Recycling promotion program as provided in Article 9. <br />2028 I. Mandatory Commercial Recycling Assistance to Agency. Contractor shall <br />2029 assist Agency and SBWMA with implementing, monitoring, and reporting on <br />2030 Commercial, Mixed Use, and MFD Customers' compliance with requirements for <br />2031 Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials diversion under AB 341, AB 1826, or <br />2032 other similar Applicable Law. Upon Agency's reasonable request and in accordance <br />2033 with Section 9.09.E, Contractor shall provide Agency with periodic reports on <br />2034 Commercial, Mixed Use, and MFD Customers that do not appear to be complying <br />2035 with State or local diversion regulations, policies, or requirements of, based on the <br />2036 observations of Contractor's employees and/or subscription data. <br />2037 7.05 MULTI -FAMILY RECYCLING PROMOTION PROGRAM <br />2038 <br />A. Multi -Family Dwelling Promotion. Contractor shall provide Waste Zero <br />2039 <br />Specialists to work directly with Owners or property managers of Multi -Family <br />2040 <br />Residential Complexes to implement the Single -Stream Targeted Recyclable <br />2041 <br />Materials and Organic Materials Collection services, and to assess Customer <br />2042 <br />service for all Multi -Family Residential Complexes. The Multi -Family complexes <br />2043 <br />that Contractor shall visit each year and the outreach activities that shall be <br />2044 <br />performed shall be outlined in the Three -Year Recycling Technical Assistance Plan <br />2045 <br />described in Section 7.03.8 and approved by the Agency and SBWMA. The <br />2046 <br />Contractor's implementation activities may include, but shall not be limited to, the <br />2047 <br />following types of tasks for Multi -Family Residential Complexes that subscribe to <br />2048 <br />Single -Stream Targeted Recyclable Materials and/or Organics Materials Collection <br />2049 <br />services: <br />2050 <br />1. Site Assessments. Contractor shall contact or meet in person with Owner or <br />2051 <br />property manager to explain the Single -Stream Targeted Recyclable Materials <br />2052 <br />and/or Organics Materials Collection program of Multi -Family Residential <br />2053 <br />Complexes containing five (5) or more Residential units to determine the <br />2054 <br />appropriate number and type of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials <br />2055 <br />Containers and the frequency of Collection. As part of its standard Collection <br />2056 <br />Services, Contractor shall provide Containers for Organics Material such as <br />2057 <br />Food Scraps, compostable paper, and Plant Materials, and Single -Stream <br />2058 <br />Targeted Recyclable Materials or Source Separated Targeted Recyclable <br />2059 <br />Materials such as newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper, glass, aluminum, etc. <br />2060 <br />depending on the needs of the Multi -Family Residential Complex. If practical, <br />2061 <br />Contractor shall locate the Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Organic <br />2062 <br />Materials Containers in the same area so tenants carry materials to one <br />2063 <br />location. Contractor shall also offer Recyclable Materials Carts for use in the <br />2064 <br />mail area of the Premises. A site assessment shall be conducted by <br />2065 <br />Contractor when Targeted Organics Materials or Recyclable Materials <br />2066 <br />Collection services are initially provided at a Multi -Family Residential Complex, <br />2067 <br />and as requested by Customer or deemed necessary by Contractor throughout <br />2068 <br />the Term of this Agreement. <br />2069 <br />2. Service Level Adiustments. Within five (5) Business Days of completing the <br />2070 <br />site assessment or receiving a request from a Customer, Contractor shall <br />2071 <br />adjust the Customer's service level by providing any Solid Waste, Recyclable <br />2072 <br />Materials, and/or Organic Materials Containers needed for change in service, <br />REV: 03-16-18 MI <br />Page 51 of 126 <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.054/Recology of San Mateo <br />
