File No. $01-05

Recommendation
Adopt a resolution approving Release of a Grant of Temporary Construction Easement
and Consent from Cargill, Inc., for use during construction of Seaport Boulevard north
of Seaport Court, and direct the City Clerk to record the document with the County
Recorder's Office.

Background
On August 14, 2000, the City Council approved "Grant of Temporary Construction
Easement and Consent" (Seaport Boulevard Construction).

This temporary construction easement was requested by the developer on behalf of the
City of Redwood City and Pacific Shores Development from Cargill, Inc., in order to
construct Seaport Boulevard. The roadway is now completed, and the Temporary
Construction Easement is no longer necessary.

A copy of the Release of the Temporary Construction Easement is available for review
in the City Clerk's Office.

Alternative
Not approving this release will create a "cloud" over the property, and expose the City to
unnecessary risks on this temporary easement.

Fiscal Impacts
There are no fiscal impacts to the City of Redwood City by this action.

Brian Lee- ~ Bruce Liedstrand Ed Everett
Senior Civil Engineer Community Development Services Director City Manager

BL:ss
s/library/reports/brian/release of temporary construction easement - seaport blvd
